Services | Aesthetic restorations

We make sure that you gain confidence with your smile

Our aim is to design restorations in such a way that their colour, shape and function blend invisibly into the overall dentition.
Here you can see some of the options we can offer you:

We offer these aesthetic restorations

  • Fulfilment of individual cosmetic wishes and requests

  • Aesthetic fillings (colour-layered, characterised with stains, see aesthetic restorations)

  • Tooth reshaping on front teeth without orthodontics or grinding (see aesthetic restorations)

  • Whitening of individual discoloured teeth or all teeth (see tooth bleaching)

  • Tooth reshaping with orthodontics (see Orthodontist)

  • Correction of the bite (see CMD)

  • Corrections of the gum line

  • Correction of the position of front teeth using transparent Invisalign® splints

  • Replacement of amalgam

Tooth Whitening

The individual tooth colour depends on external and internal factors. If you are unhappy with the colour of your teeth, external bleaching is possible. After removing plaque and discolouration, the initial tooth colour is documented by means of professional teeth cleaning. After taking an impression, you will receive individual trays and sufficient bleaching gel from us, with which you can whiten your teeth comfortably and gently at home step by step to the desired tooth colour.

Individually discoloured teeth, e.g. as a result of trauma or inadequate previous root canal treatment, can be gradually whitened in the practice by both internal and external bleaching after revision of the old filling and matched in colour to the neighbouring teeth.

Aesthetic restorations

Adhesive luting is required here, which loses adhesion if saliva enters during processing. This is why we use rubber dams in indicated situations when working with these sensitive substances. This ensures optimal processing of the materials, as the area remains dry during treatment. In addition, neither liquids nor particles enter the oral cavity. We give a 10-year guarantee on our highly aesthetic fillings.

Corrections to the shape of front teeth can also be individually planned, functionally adapted and realised, usually without grinding down tooth enamel and using purely additive methods, and are also considerably cheaper than the use of veneers.

We place the highest value on invisible, aesthetic and functional integration in relation to the face, neighbouring teeth and overall appearance. This is achieved through the adhesive bonding of different coloured composites using a multi-colour layering technique and the design of anatomical structures under optical magnification using magnifying glasses or a microscope.

Orthodontics

Misaligned teeth are not only a developmental, aesthetic and therefore sometimes psychological problem, but also regularly lead to problems with plaque control in areas of unphysiological contact points. This results in more frequent caries and more severe courses of periodontal disease.

We treat minor misalignments with the invisible splint system of Invisalign®, while complex cases belong in the hands of experienced orthodontists.

Leichte Fehlstellungen behandeln wir mit dem unsichtbaren Schienensystem von Invisalign®, komplexe Fälle gehören in erfahrene kieferorthopädische Hand.

TMJ/masticatory muscle complaints, CMD

Genetic and acquired clenching disorders or concentration-related teeth grinding and clenching have an impact on the tooth substance, periodontium and temporomandibular joints.
Possible consequences include not only pain-sensitive, loosened or fractured teeth, ear and jaw joint noises, but also chronic tension in the chewing and deep neck muscles, as well as compensation problems such as spinal curvature, hip misalignment and foot misalignment, as the entire musculoskeletal system consisting of the skeleton, joints and muscles is in a functional balance.
This requires precise diagnostics in order to restore balance. Splint therapy accompanied by physiotherapy can provide relief for CMD (cranio-mandibular dysfunction) or night-time grinding. In the case of more complex problems such as abrasive dentition and chewed teeth, computer-aided measurement of the temporomandibular joints is possible in order to restore the physiological balance with the help of small ceramic bites (table tops) or dentures.
Contact sports, power sports, competitive sports, night-time grinding - different demands require different approaches to prevent structural damage.

Amalgam remediation

Amalgam is a filling material that is easy and quick to handle and is anchored in the tooth using a specific form of preparation that goes far beyond defect orientation.
From a chemical point of view, amalgam is a loose compound consisting of mercury on the one hand and silver, tin and copper on the other.
These components are categorised as heavy metals and can be gradually released through chewing, teeth grinding or acids and lead to organ stress.
Possible signs of an overload and thus a metabolic disorder can be a metallic taste in the mouth, burning tongue, chronic gastrointestinal complaints, headaches, cardiovascular diseases, blemished skin, mood swings or depressive moods.
From 2025, the use of amalgam will no longer be permitted in the EU. The removal of amalgam fillings in compliance with certain safety conditions is the first step towards metal-free teeth. With special cures (chlorella, DMSA), which are supervised by the family doctor or alternative practitioner, it is also possible to eliminate the heavy metals from the body.
